I went for lunch and asked the waitress for iced tea. She asked me if I wanted "sweet tea" or "un-sweet tea". I asked her how did they get the "sweet" out of the "sweet tea" to make "un-sweet tea". Does anyone know how this happens?

After making it, they strain it through a very fine sieve to remove the sugar.

You must be a yankee. WHY on earth would you drink un-sweet tea?

To answer your question, they don't add sugar after they brew it.

simple, you don't add sugar to the tea after you make it. un-sweet tea. sweet tea has the sugar already added.

They don't put sugar or sweetner in it. Tea is naturally unsweetened.
