The power button or the power supply may be breaking down. It is also possible that some of the wiring is lose, causing some of the components to not turn on(or off). Check the wiring inside first and if everything is fine I'd consider trying a new power supply.

How often are you turning on and off your computer? When you shut down your computer you want to wait about 1-2 min. before turning it back on. When your computer comes back on go to start, to all programs, accessories, system tools, and then restore system. Follow the instructions/ procedures from there. One thing you need to remember when shutting down your computer is do it through the start button. Don't push the power button on the P.C. box. If you are wanting to turn your computer right back on the safest way is instead of pressing turn off press restart. When doing this the computer automatically gives itself the right amount of time to wait before turning on. Alot of times the reason your computer will act like this is alot of space is being used uneeded. To clear that space go to your start, then programs, then accessories, then, system tools, then disk defragment and start defragmenting your computer.

It could be a faulty power switch, or a problem with the ac wall connection. Try and find out which one and if it is still your computer, then ask us again.
