Most state and federal insurances do not cover elective surgeries like vasectomy. I worked for WI medicaid for nearly 2 years and it was a procedure NOT covered by our medicaid or medicare programs. I do know of one case where it was medically necessary and that took MONTHS to get approved through medicaid. So, if not medical reason....I doubt it will be covered regardless of the doctor taking your insurance.

Your best solution, not knowing where you are, is to call the local Medical Association or you can look through the phone book and just call each doctor to see if they will do this for you. You can also check and see how reliable they are. Sometimes the doctors have a lot of lawsuits against them, stay away from them for sure.

you will have to call around and see...the local medical society may be able to help you, or whoever the provider is of your medicare plan could provide you a lis of accepting surgeons or urological doctors that do vasectomies..
good luck
