Like other people using the Internet, I receive unsolicited emails that are clearly scams and frauds. Most of these are meant to trick me into giving up personal information that can be used for identity theft or to access and clear out my bank account. I have also received a couple that come in the guise of job offers that are either identity-theft related or they are looking for patsies to unknowingly involve in money laundering schemes. I would like to pass these emails onto law enforcement, the FBI, or whichever is the appropriate agency dealing with cyber crime. Is there a reporting site on the Internet?

I am not sure what ones will go where, but some of them will have to go to Secret Service.

Honestly, the stuff you mention is so rampant across the net that reporting the emails will not do any good.

Actually, I can guarantee you that every FBI agent with an e-mail address gets 3 of these phishing scams sent to them a day by the same people that sent them to you.

There is just not much they can do to catch them because most of them are sent from zombie computers. These are just computers infected with a virus that automatically sends these emails out without the owners knowledge.

I use Gmail and if you click on the down arrow next to the "Reply" button in the upper right corner of an email it gives you the option to report phishing. Really simple. If you don't use Gmail you should!! You can get your email from your current address forwarded to your Gmail account and even sent mail from your old address through Gmail.
