like everyone said--It CUD mean papa or dad--but i personally think its papal--or pope--u no its kinda like a euphemistic word for the ppl in the religious order--or it cud also b short for paper-or it cud also be poppy--u no to hide the word poppy cos its used to make drugs--so u dont want ppl knowing-it may be from the underworld-it cud mean any darn thing--it cud finally mean PUPPY--but no one wants to let u no that they r calling u puppy--so beware esp when Hritik roshan says that on TATA sky--hehehehehe

in italian "pappe" means "food" it's a common words we use with kids... like "food for kids"...

in Spanish & italian: "papa" means "dad"

So... it really depends.

assuming that word is hindi, then in english it means kiss on cheeks!

a close word to this comes from punjabi called "paape", that is generally used in friendly context. like I might call out my friend "oye paape"
