No...it isn't too late for you to exercise. You just have to be careful not to do too much because your body is already dealing with the changes caused by your pregnancy and you don't want to overexert yourself. You could try walking or doing light yoga and things like that. It's always good to stretch a little as well (especially focusing on your lower back and thighs) before and after you do any type of exercise because that will help with the labor and delivery process. As always, drink plenty of water and pay attention to your body...if you are too tired or begin to feel as though you need to stop, then do so. I would consult your obstetrician in case there are certain things you shouldn't do...and maybe he/she could give you some suggestions as well. Hope this helps...and congratulations on your future bundle of joy!

Nope, it's never too late. But you should talk to your OB about what exercises are good and suitable for you. Also, start out slow and gradually do more. Don't start with an hour of cardio because it can be too much too quick. My doctor told me walking is the best and safest exercise for pregnant women. I walk about 2-3 miles a day and it's kept me in great shape through both pregnancies. Good Luck and Best Wishes!

I don't believe it's too late to start, however, you need to get the okay from your primary care dr. Then you can start slow by walking, which is such a gentle and effective exercise for anyone, especially pregnant women. Now is not the time to train or think of elite fitness. It's actually good that you're thinking of exercise now - I say after the ok from the dr., go for it!

You can exercise right through your pregnancy. Just use your body's signals as a sign that you may be overdoing it. If you start to feel faint or dizzy and can't talk while exercising you should take a breather. Make sure to eat properly and drink plenty of water while you are exercising.

It's never to late to exercise. Consult with your doctor and tell him / or her what you want to do and they will point you in the right direction.
You should always consult with a physician before starting any exercise program anyways.

It depends on what you are doing and how you feel. It would be a bad idea to be sky diving or mountain climbing, but a good idea to be walking, swimming or doing yoga.
If you are just starting an exercise program, be smart and check with your midwife or doctor first.

It's never too late. Just do simple exercises - walking, swimming, stretching, etc. If you feel pain or are overly tired... Stop and Rest.

that is in no way too late to workout in the process being pregnant. i would not do something strenuous, yet strolling, and different cardio activities are great for you and your infant. of direction there are risky workouts in the process being pregnant...bungy leaping, horse lower back driving, or any pastime that is composed of heights or the prospect of falling.
