Heard somewhere that someone quit before it started or was asked to leave...anyone know?

Maybe they couldn't find 12 interested people to do it. John was a replacement, so I've never heard that there were ever 12 contestants. If you think about how much work they have to put in, it's probably hard to convince stars to put their life on hold during an uncertain length of time. Those that try to work while being on the show always say how hard it is.

Pastore couldn't do it but the other old guy John took his place. I think it is because they kept everyone for two weeks and did not vote anyone off the first week.
