no not realy the rule is two heartbeats per bedroom. You may be able to ask them to wait until the baby is 6 months old I know I have let tenents do that. They are thinking of the best interest of the child and your sanity if they are willing to work with you then go for it but tell them your situation before you jump the legal gun any complex you go to will persuade you to rent a two bedroom even though it is just an infant. I had the same problem with my first i was a single parent and i rented a one bedroom I gave him the room and I slept on the couch but one of my nosy neighbors called child protective services because she was worred aboput the baby, the apartment complex offered me a two bedroom and a job (not saying yours will) but that helped me till i got on my feet. I could have lost my son if they wouldn't have helped.

Some states if your in the US require the child have a seperate bedroom. Others require this only if the child is over a certain age such as 3 or 4 years old. Your going to need to check the rental leasing laws where you are. They should have been given to you when you signed your lease.

What does your lease say? If there is a "maximum number of occupants" part to it, you may not have a leg to stand on. Again, carefully read through your lease.
