Is it safe to go to Lebanon this summer ?? I would really like to go but not sure about the whole situation... wat do you think?

Fact is....Lebanon is going through some major changes and ballance needs to be restored...and thats not going to happen from one day to the next. However, I speak for myself and many of my friends here in Lebanon that we are sick and tired of this ongoing political turmoil and we plan on hitting the beaches hard this summer and making it a summer not to forget.
Cést pas la vie en rose....but i wouldn't worry about any major outbreaks....just your conventional demonstrations,yelling and accusations and pointing fingers...etc...otherwise; sea, sex and fun!!!

You know what it may not sound safe but you just need to stay away from the violent areas. I traveled to Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine from July 2006 up until October 2006. For the most part of my trip I stayed in Palestine. You just need to stay away from the bad areas. You will be OK. Trust me.

Yes it is safe,and well the whole situation is crap about the politicians,but ppl are still moving on to their own routine life everyday!

I am going...figure that it has been quiet for a while now & friends & family say it is safe. They have to live there so I will take my chances with them . Ignore Jonah's poor advice .

i'm Lebanese yet no longer residing in Lebanon on the 2nd yet i circulate to circulate to it at simmer and that i think of that each and each think of is great bcoz my sis went from 2 weeks in the past and he or she had a great form of relaxing and enjoyed her time and each ingredient grow to be ok so i assume each and every ingredient is great

Don't worry everything here is fine. The politicians are fighting but the people are not so everything is going nice and smooth.

of course you should come,you know we have a tremendous
sense of survival ,unless and even when the sky falls on our
heads we manage to come out of it.anyway,what do you risk?the maximum is a free trip back on an evacuation ship.
