Sony are in the process of looking at a PSP2, I dont know the development stage of it but it would only be very early so nothing for a while yet.
As an extra tid bit to fuel you anticipation, microsoft are also looking at going into the handheld marketas ATI/AMD have created a very low power consuming graphics chip similar to that found in the X-Box and X-Box 360 for mobile phones that is capable of very good graphics quality

Yes they are looking at the psp2, but they have already started the blueprints in the UK. Some say it may be out by next year.

there is a psp two, but that won't be out for many years yet.

there will be a psp2, within next year. it will include gps, voip, built in memory of around 8gb, camera, mic and will be able to download psone games and even maybe connect to ps3,
