I went to my ob yesterday and was told I had a yeast infection. He listened to the baby's heartbeat and said it sounded great. I was already crampy when I got home because of the infection and the exam. He told me to use over-the-counter medicine. I used it right before bed time. I woke up about 3:15 a.m. feeling awful. I had really bad pain in my back and abdomen. My pajama bottoms felt like they were going to cut me in half and I was really hot. And to top it all off I felt like I was starving. I got up and walked around and then when I laid back down I swapped sides (from my left to my right side) and I felt a lot better. I feel just fine today - a little sleepy. Should I be worried? It was really scary.

i don't think you should be worried, i was the same way and my doctor said i was fine. you might have insomnia like i did the whole first trimester.. its not fun i know but it will be over with in the second. Also the prenatal pills made me feel really sick so that could be it to. And like you i was always waking up starving at 3 -4 in the a.m my doctor told me to drink alot of water (throughout the day) and it would help.. good luck and keep your head up if should be gone in 2-3 weeks!

You are probably right that the exam set off some more pain than normal. I would get on your medication immediately and let the doctor know within 24 hours if this happens again. ANYTHING that seems abnormal when you are pregnant is also worth a trip to the emergency room . It's better to be safe than sorry, Hon.

I had the same thing when I was pregnant and it was awful. My doctor told me I had a yeast infection and I could feel the pain so bad in my back, but he gave me presciption medicine. I was fine in about a day or so.

well I am not an expert but I do have three kids of my own...do you work? wer'e you small to begin with " i mean before you got pregnant?" what kind of diet are you on? some people just take pregnancy worse than others but I would definitly talk to your doctor about it... I mean the regular doctor not the OB.
hope you are feeling better.
