My favorite urban legend has to be the "Kidney Thieves". The story always goes along the lines of someone going out drinking, and passing out...preferably in a park. In the morning, the person wakes up with a tremendous amount of pain emanating from his lower back (on either the right or the left side). At home, upon examination, the person discovers that he/she has been stitched up. A visit to the doctor ( and subsequent MRI/exam) proves that the victim is missing a kidney.

I have many a legends.. You're lucky I stumbled apon these boards.. I am a master at these.. How about the story, of Lucy Keyes?
---------------------------------
Robert Keyes and his family moved to Princeton, Massachusetts in 1751. They purchased a large tract of land, some 200 acres, on the South-Eastern slope of Wachusett Mountain.

On April 14, 1755, Keyes's daughter Lucy, who was 4 years old at the time, followed her sisters to fetch some sand from Wachusett Lake. Lucy never returned from the lake. She vanished in the woods that day never to be heard from again.

The towns-people made every effort to find the girl. Search parties combed the woods, the lake was dragged, all to no avail. Martha Keyes, Lucy's mother, was pushed to the edge of insanity by her grief over losing her daughter. Every evening she searched the woods calling her daughter's name.

Martha died in 1786. She never found Lucy.

Several years after the deaths of both Martha and Robert Keyes, a letter was found describing, in gruesome detail, the murder of little Lucy Keyes. The letter was from Tilly Littlejohn, the Keyes's hermit-like neighbor, who was furious over a property line quarrel with Keyes. To cleanse his dying soul he admitted on his deathbed that he found the girl, Lucy, in the woods and killed her by hitting her on the head with a rock. He then stuffed her body in a hollow log and waited until nightfall to return and bury her body under an uprooted tree.

Many people believe that Martha Keyes has every reason to haunt the wooded hillsides of Wachusett Mountain calling, "Lu - cy, Lu - cy", since she never learned the grim fate of her daughter. And witnesses still experience the spirits of both Martha and Lucy Keyes to this day.

This story has been needed to be brought to light for decades.. Heres another urban legend...

In Corona, California there once was a road known by most locals as the Never Ending Road .Specifically, the roads true name was Lester Road. Now, over twenty years later, the landscape of Corona has changed, and the Never Ending Road is no more. However, years ago, Lester Road was an unlit road that people claimed became a never ending road when driven at night. The people who made such a drive were never seen from again.

The legend became so well-known that people refused to even drive Lester Road during the day. One night, like many teens my age, I drove up Lester Road, but only a short distance, and in my headlights it did look like it went on forever. Frightened, I quickly turned around, because if I continued up the road, I may never return again.

Perpetuation of the legend convinced local law enforcement to investigate. Lester Road took a sharp left turn at its end, and there were no guard rails. Beyond the curve lay a canyon, and on the other side of the canyon was another road that lined up so well with Lester Road that when viewed from the correct angle, especially at night, the canyon vanished from sight, and the road seemed to continue on up and over the hill on the other side of the canyon. Upon investigation of the canyon, dozens of cars were found, fallen to their doom, with the decomposing bodies of the victims still strapped to their seats.

There is a legend of a beautiful woman dressed all in white who waits beside the road at night. She is said to only appear to the unfaithful, usually only men. They pick her up and are never seen nor heard from again.

The Lady in White is a ghost, or vengeful spirit. It's said that she was born or created when she finds out that her husband was cheating on her. In a fit of tempoary insanity she kills her children. When she realizes what she has done she becomes overwhelmed with grief and kills herself. So her spirit or ghost becomes cursed and she can never rest.

A divorced woman was walking her young girl down the hallway. It was the day that the father could take the girl home. The woman was torn all to pieces about this, and the young girl noticed. The woman and her child arrived at the elevator and when the doors opened, stepped in.

Finally they had reached the floor that the father worked. When the doors opened guess who was standing their, the father. Without saying a word the father took hold of the young girls hand and started to walk away. Suddenly the woman grabbed the girls other hand and tried to pull her back in the elevator.

Unfortunately, the door closed on the girl as her head was jerked into the elevator. The elevator started going down and half of the young girls body was going with it because her mother wouldn't let go and her father wouldn't either, who was still on the second floor.

The young girl was ripped in half when the elevator reached the ground floor.

This is a very popular UL here in Brazil.

It is said that a blonde girl named Marisa would love to hide herself in the bathroom just to write love letters and not study.

But one day a tragic accident happened. The janitor had cleaned the floor and it was wet, but Marisa entered the bathroom running. Marisa slipped and knocked her head strongly on the ground, resulting death. Now, if you go to the school's bathroom just to pass time, you may see Marisa with cotton on her nose to stop the bleeding and looking for bad students to teach them a lesson.

A young art student was travelling from the city centre in London to her college campus one night. She got on the London underground and the only other passenger in the carraige was a man in his 30s. She took as seat and after a few minutes three others entered the carraige. They sat directly across from her, two males with a female between them. She avoided eye contact with them as they looked like drug addicts.

A while later the man in his 30s walked passed and acted like he knew her. He said "Hi, how are you, Ive not spoken to you in a long time" then he lent down and whispered "Get off at the next stop". She didnt know whether or not to trust the man, but then she realised that if the man was getting off the train, she didnt want to be left alone with the three junkies. After they stepped off the train, the man told her that the young girl sitting between the two men was dead. He had watched them drag her onto the train with a pair of scissors stuck in the back of her skull.

It was a beautiful day at the fair. A young girl was eager to reach the merry-go-round and ride the special black horse that she loved best of all. As she approached the old ride, she spotted her horse waiting for her. It seemed a little more faded, the paint slightly chipped, but she didn't care. Climbing on its smooth back, she laughed happily as the ride began, and the horse began to rise up and down. However, after a moment her laughs turned to cries, and she called to her mother that the horse was biting her. Nobody moved to help her, and after a few minutes she collapsed, dead, on the horse she loved so much. Her mother ran to her, and screamed when she saw the snake slither out of the horse's mouth. The horse had been stored in a shed for the winter, and a poisonous snake had made itself right at home.

I not only know urban legends.. I investigate true hauntings..

One black night a mother and her baby were riding to the store and their car broke down at the bottom of the hill. The mother decided to walk for help. She found a guy walking along the side of the highway and asked him for help. She noticed that the man looked odd. He walked with a limp and a pair of handcuffs were dangling from his right hand. When she noticed this, she turned and began to run back to her car. He chased after her and stabbed her to death. Then he went down the hill to find the car. In the car, he found her sleeping baby girl and killed her.

Now people claim that if you drive to the place were the car broke down, put baby powder on the back of your window, and put your car in park, the car will move up the hill and the then move back down. It is said that the mother is trying to move you up the hill. In the powder, you'll see her handprints.

A woman walked into a corner store one afternoon. The two middle-aged men that worked in the store had never seen her come in before. The lady looked very frail, she walked very slowly, and wore a long grey dress. She went to the dairy section and picked up a jug of milk. Without even looking at the men at the counter, she walked right past them and out the door. Once out the door, she started running. The men raced after her, but couldn't keep up. They finally stopped chasing her at a nearby cemetery, they had no idea where the girl had gone. It was as if she just vanished. The men caught their breath and were about to head back to the store, when they heard a baby crying. The noise seemed to be coming from the ground. They noticed the headstone was that of a young mother and an infant. One of the men ran back to the store to get a shovel. As they dug, the crying got louder. When they reached the coffin and pried off the lid, the found the body of the young woman in grey, her live baby, and a jug of milk.
