Why didn't they ever show the babysitters face?

They never showed the maid's face on Tom and Jerry or the owner's faces on the WB cartoons where the cat owners brought home a new puppy.

Maybe because it's supposed to be focusing on the muppet babies or other characters?

Yes, I remember the Muppet Babies. I think they never showed the babysitters face because the show was from the Babies perspective and the only part that would be up close would be the babysitter's legs because that's the Babies field of vision.

I love the Muppets and watched that show with my kids. if you notice, on Peanuts, they never show adults or give them voices. that's worse than the babysitter.

I LOVED that show!!!! When my daughter, who is 18 now, was about 2-4 we watched it every morning.

I think they just didn't want to place any importance on the babysitter.

Because her socks were funnier to look at and easier to draw.
If you go to retrojunk.com and click on 80's cartoons they have the different opening songs that they ever used for that show, and many many others too. I like the Fat Albert song best, and the Heman and Thundercats ones really crack me up. They are soooo cheesy.

Because it was so hideous that children in the test-screenings suffered seizures and shock. It was said to resemble a cross between a pile of raw bird entrails and Rush Limbaugh's jowls. Only the Muppet children could witness it and not go insane.

Beyond that, wonderful show.

Who knows...kind of like Charlie Brown's teacher...never showed her face nor did she ever 'speak'...although Charlie and friends seem to understand her...

Not sure 'bout that, but as I recall the sitter's voice belonged to Barbara Billingsley, the mom on Leave it to Beaver.
