Truman was a proven leader with good horse sense. Kerry is better than the right-wing character assassins would ahve you believe. Carter is a decent man who ran a clean Administration but who had extraordinary bad luck. The rest of them are a collection of losers and rogues.

Loaded question, but from my knowledge of history I'd pick Truman, not that I hold any of these men in very high esteem. If Truman had had his way, we'd have had a national health care plan back in the late 1940s.
