I had to reformat window and now when I restart the computer the monitor won't restart with it. The screen goes black and the power indicater light blinks and if I turn the monitor on myself it just does the monitor check thing. So I'm forced to turn off the computer manualy. Can someone help fix this so the computer and monitor restart correctly together?

Check if your cable from the monitor to the computer is in and in the right slot. You're not getting anything which means there is no communication to the computer. If you needed a new driver - you would of at least got a resolution of 600x800.

If your monitor isn't working at all (meaning it never shows the window), its plugged in correctly at both points, and nothing is physically wrong with it... I would say that you probably have to configure your graphics card set up. But you didn't give enough information to determine that.

If you have an Onboard graphics card, and a PCI card installed at the same time, you need to go into Bios, and switch over to the card you use (most likely the PCI card), but before you do that, disable the onboard card through device manager.
Start Menu --> Control Panel --> System --> Hardware (Tab)--> Devide Manager (button) --> Display Adapters

If this doesn't work, check the drivers installed for the Monitor, as well as if you have any installation software.

since you reformatted windows you lost your monitor drivers, you probably didn't reinstall them either so windows is just using a "base" driver (kind of a universal driver to handle your monitor)

go to the monitor manufacturers website and look for their technical support page, search for the type of monitor you have and download the driver for your particular monitor

once you download the driver, install it then restart your computer, it should resolve your problem

first of all, u need to check all the cables fit in. then, pull out the RAM, rub the metal surface(gold plated) of the RAM with an eraser. this should do.if nothing seem going normal, try to check the graphic card slot, does it fit enough to the slot? after that, restart the computer. sometimes the major prob is graphic card and RAM. if there's nothing happen, consult the retailer or someone u that can deal with this prob..best regard..
