In 1928 a company named Casco patented the very first "automotive cigar lighter" with a cord and a reel. (like we see today). Although there were others before that.

Ford was one of the first automobiles to actually incorporate it into its car design. (Although I can't find what make and model the car was ANYWHERE)! It had to be either the Model "A" or "T"

By 1930 nearly every car had a cigar lighter installed in them as the product was redesigned.

Hope that helped!
