I won't say you n eed to study more, but what i will say is any actions to get onto myspace that are successful will be logged by a network admin. This can be resulted in suspension from school or your network connectivity to the internet totally cut off. :(

Rather than use a proxy, why not try enabling outside access to do a RemoteDesktop to your home computer? You can then access any sites without worrying about proxies getting blocked. Of course this only works if the school network doesn't block the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP). You may need to address some configuration issues on your home system/network but I'm sure you can figure that out with the appropriate Google searches.

No need to set up your own proxy at home because there are already plenty of existing ones out there. You need a proxy site that is not blocked yet such as http://www.cantblock.us which is still brand new and not blocked anywhere.

If this works for you, please consider choosing me for best answer. :)
