I think that lge hit the wrong letter when answering this - the cells will burst (unless they're plant cells) because water will enter the cells

obviously D
water diffuses into the cell because the cell is more concentrated then its surroundings.
now if it were say a red blood cell it would burst, but if it was a cell wall bound cell or had a contractile vacuole then it wouldn't.
