Most people will argue about the fact that it unrealistically portrays the science of forensics and that is true, of course but hey, it's TV. That being said, I am a die-hard fan of all of them. I love the first one the most. It's hard to pick a favorite character. Grissom is weirdly cool, Nick is hot, Wark is so darn smooth, Katherine is so compassionate and beautiful, Sarah is a little annoying, especially this weird relationship thing she has going on with Grissom but it was great when they brought Greg out of the lab, he's a goofball but great. Even the ballistics guy and other lab guy are loveable.
As for the other CSIs, it took me a while to get used to them because I compared them to the original but they have grown on me and I like them each for different reasons.
It may be unrealistic but it's a fun show and it does teach you some things. It's not going to give away all the secrets of the cops so people need to get over that and enjoy it for what it is, an hour of entertainment with characters you can relate to. That's what I think.

I really like the original CSI and watch the syndicated reruns. I have watched CSI: New York and CSI: Miami, but don't any more. CSI: New York is good, but I don't like CSI: Miami. there are good actors on it, but Horatio always stands a certain way that bugs me. I also like NCIS real well, but I work til 8 that night and always miss the first 5-10 minutes.

CSI gives the allusion that the professionals are always dedicated and intelligent as they process each crime.
The real world is very different.

I don't watch these t.v. programs because they are so bizarre and disturbing; it's a shame that people are entertained by them.

It's not a true reflection of real life, but it's entertaining and not as dark as "Law and Order." We like the Las Vegas one most, and Miami 2nd.
The ensembles on all 3 are vital, almost as much as the storyline.

A good tv show with good characters but highly unrealistic on the science and crime solving area. They jump to the most amazing conclusions and solve the most impossible cases much too easily, but I guess you have to just accept that as typical hollywood.
