If it relates to a specific case in which you were involved you can contact the Witness Care Unit within your local Police Force or Constabulary. Call the central switchboard number for the Force, not the 999 number, and ask to be connected to the WCU. They will take the details of the case from you and then search on a system linked to the Court for the outcome and then they should call you back. However, if the case is of a particularly sensitive nature then the Court may put reporting restrictions on it and therefore, the result will not be released to the public.

Hope this helps.

You can phone the listing office and ask whether the case is still in progress (even if the court reached a verdict, the case may not be concluded, as it may have adjourned the matter for sentencing), in which case the listing office will be free to tell you the next date of hearing. However, if the case has been concluded, you really have to have a good reason for asking and have to apply in writing. If you do have an acceptable reason for wanting to know, then the court will send you a memorandum of conviction, showing the name, address and date of birth of the defendant and the decision of the court.
