I agree with it but I'm too stubborn to go along with it. And I'll tell you why. I used to be very naive, just two years ago. I met this guy with teh insight of the bad side of life. He taught me of how ignorant I was and I always argued with him about things. In the end he'd say, "whatever. ignorance is bliss." So, it is stupid to bring wisdom to ignorance because not everyone would be willing to open up their eyes and see reality for what it is. I did, so now i carry his wisdom and try to open the eyes of people that are similar to how I used to be. The only reason I continue to do such troubling things is because I'm just as stubborn as the guy that taught me. haha

Y ademas, en el pais de los ciegos el tuerto es rey.
"and also In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." But do you have to put out one eye to qualify for the job?

Do you have to find a venue where "ignorance is bliss" before the adage become operable? If so, outside of the White House, such locals are indeed rare.

I think it is most applicable to situations of infidelity in marriage.

"When in Rome ...".
I never felt comfortable to make a show of my culture with people who did not have the same opportunities or do the same studies as I did. Sometimes it is better, instead of naming some artist, philosopher etc., to talk football with people. In football, everyone understands what you're saying, and everybody is right !

Yes. If you deal with a disfuntional family who have no idea of functional relationships and interaction (ignorance) you are better off dealing with them according to their ignorant patterns of understanding because they have no frame of reference or inkling as to what functional behavior requires, looks like or entails (wise)

Only if bliss is what you seek regardless of other goals.

What if folly is bliss? Or bliss is folly? What then?

Folly that.
