What player will have the most homers this season? And also what pitcher will have the most wins this year? Well I think David Ortiz will have the most homers with 59. And for wins I would have to go with PROBLLY Verlander

I dont like answering questions like this because baseball is a quirky sport----anything can happen.
But if I had to gander a guess, I'd say Ortiz hits 62
and Dice-K gets 21 wins.
Or I could say Sheffield hits 63
and Verlander has 22 wins.

With homers I'll go with David Ortiz with 58 HR, and Johan Santana with 21 wins.
Verlander is a great contender, but the fact is that Verlander is still too young and probably needs a little more experience in pitches to fool batters in the American League, he would do it easier playing in the National League...

AL Home Run Champ will be Ortiz or ARod. it just depends on who has the hotter start and who is consistent throughout the year.
NL Home Run Champ will be ryan howard again. the kid will most likely top ortiz in the AL for the overall crown in 07.
AL Wins Champ Rich Harden. this guy is due to be the next phenom pitcher, and will follow in suit by leaving (ie Mulder, Zito and Hudson). hes due for a near if not 20+ win season.
NL Wins Champ should be Carlos Zambrano. the guy could win 30 games in front of the Stankees lineup. Unfortunately he pitches at Wrigly and won't push 20 wins. The NL winner will be a dark horse candidate. Look for Old Man Johnson out in the desert to feel rejuvinated and push for a 20+ win season.

For Home Runs, I can see both David Ortiz and Travis Hafner both hitting over 50 but I am going to have to go with David Oritz with 61.
For Wins, I think Johan Santana will have 23 wins this season but I won't be surprise if Ben Sheets gets the most wins this season.

Verlander is a bit of a stretch. I could see Big Papi hitting the most homers but I think Johan Santana will get the most victories.

Home Runs
AL- David Ortiz 58
NL- Ryan Howard 55
Wins
AL- Santana 19
NL- Zambrano 18
I make these estimates without factoring in injuries, and run support for pitchers.

Until ortiz cuts down on his strikeouts I will have to go with Ryan Howard.
As for wins, Carlos Zambrano. The Cubs will now win more of those 1 run games for him this year.
