It all depends on the situation not how big (or small) the baby is if you deliver vaginally or by c-section. I have had 2 friends deliver early, 24 weeks- 2lbs 3 oz and at 30 weeks- 3 lbs 8oz. Both delivered vaginally.

how far along you are has nothing to do with if you can deliver vaginally or not. it mostly has to do with if your body can deliver a baby vaginally or the size of the baby. i know a lady that delivered a 10 pound baby vaginally. i also know a little Asian girl that doesn't even weight 100 pounds and she delivered naturally, while another girl i know has had 2 c-sections because her hips won't let her deliver.

You can give birth vaginally at 36 weeks and not have to worry about a c-section. My sister gave birth at 36 weeks and my nephew was 7 lbs, but considered a premie because of how early he was born.

I had a c sect at 40wks and had a 7lb4oz bub.
I had a c sect at 38wks and had a 7lb11oz bub.
I had a c sect at 38wks and had twins 6lb5oz and 6lb14oz.
I had a c sect at 35wks and had a 5lb4oz bub.
I had a c sect at 28wks and had a 2lb4oz bub.
I was told in my last pregnancy when I went in labour at 21 wks that I had a choice of vaginal or ceasar delivery.
Thank goodness I didnt have to decide.

Two vey healthy babies 37 weeks exactly vaginal birth 7lbs 2oz., 6lbs. 12 oz. neither was induced, they just decided 37 weeks was their time. 36 weeks you can give birth vaginally but all doctors are different. Good Luck!

A wholesome infant is seen 37 - 40 weeks gestation. even in spite of the incontrovertible fact that slightly one born right into a properly equip wellbeing center can stay to tell the story out of the womb and be wholesome at 34 weeks. possibilities of having a superbly wholesome infant in the previous 34 weeks gestation are slender (no longer impossible, yet no longer likely).

I had my son at 35 weeks via c-section. He weighed 4lbs 15.6oz and was 17 inches long.
I had to have him by a c-section cause he was breech.
