i was told it was a minature when i bought it,it wasn't. we try to trim it to keep it looking nice,but it still doesn't. i've tried straight round-up.my husband dug it out with his tractor a couple years ago,and it comes back as healthy as ever. help,please!

I would have thought digging it out by the roots would have worked for pampas grass. What kind of roots does it have? Is it bulbs or tubers or something? Maybe you've got to get all the shoots out.
I do know that you've got to trim it down every year when you keep it.

Gasoline is a temporary fix. I reccomend treating the area like the Romans did Carthage... Burn it to the ground and salt it heavily.

Dig it out, then douse the area w/ gasolineor diesel or kerosene. Nothing will grow there, but at least not the pampas grass.
