You might be. I was on the patch when I got pregnant. The dang thing just didn't stay on, I literally had to duct tape it to myself and I still got pregnant. Crazy.

So, it's definitely possible. The breast swelling and the nausea are common symptoms, but I don't think the rib pain is. Take a test, you'll feel better. :)

If you are new to the patch, these could be side effects of your body regulating itself. It would be to early for a home preggers test to tell, but you can try in a while, or get a blood test from the Dr. I would wait it out a little while. My first month on the patch was a little rough, but if you expect it, it is a little more acceptable. All of the symptoms you named, I believe, are side effects of the patch, and every other BC. Read the material the DR. gave you with the patch to know what to expect. And if you can't handle it after a month or so, try something else. Take my advice, and stay away from the shot. The side effects are like 20 times worse. Well, at least they were for me.

You should consult your doctor right away because if you are pregnant you need to be off the patch now. Are you still using it? Too early for a home test, definitely take one next week when your period is due. Good luck!
