Being stood up by guys? Maybe you need to move out of Jerkland.

Don't worry about having standards too high. Concentrate on enjoying what you like. It doesn't seem like there's anything wrong with you. No one's perfect, but no one has to be.

maybe your standards are too high. I suggest you take a step back and look at the kind of guys that you are setting yourself up with. Find the common link between them and then try to find someone completely opposite. We have to be open to different kinds of people because we never know what will be good for us in the end. I hope I helped even a little.

Have you heard of the saying that when you aren't looking then you find that special someone?

Well its definetely true... at least in my case

BUT....

I hope you take this as a piece of advice and not criticism.

When I was reading your question you seemed to be going back and forth on how you feel about yourself...being single and feeling good about it or needing someone. This could be one of the reasons why you haven't found someone. You could be sending the wrong signals or mixed signals to someone.

Also something does go wrong from the time you get the date to the actual date so find out what you are doing or SAYING to this person at that time to turn him off.

Hope that helped

I think you should not be too critical or lacking in confidence about yourself. It is natural to want to find your perfect match. Who knows why you have had bad experiences with the guys who have asked you out? One thing you might want to consider is meeting some guys in different environments. For example, there might be a group going on hikes in your area that you could join (say meetup.com or sierra club or something). Or you could volunteer somewhere and meet people there. Meeting good people is everyone's problem, not only yours. In the meantime, try to be happy and confident in yourself. Life is good to live even during the temporary time that you are alone.

I think you are looking too hard, if you know what i mean....everything comes at the right time and not before, also think about the way you come across to others, is it positive, negative, do you seem unapproachable.... all these things you should look at and you are only young you have years ahead of you try just to have fun, and relax.... every thing will eventually fall into place good luck.

I suggest that you use your interests (hobbies, church, social groups, etc.) to meet males with similar interests. I too had and still have high standards but as a volunteer, I met and married my wife. Had our first date in January and got married that August. Will be 22 years this year. It worked for me! Try it.
