I met this guy on online last June, we have never met but we have an amazing friendship and connection with each other. We can talk about anything. Just last night he told me I was his best friend. BUT we have planed at least 3 occasions for us to meet and he has backed out every time. Last night he told me he was scared of meeting me b/c we have such a good friendship and he hasn’t had a good friend in a long time and he was afraid if we took it further it might mess up what we have...my question is.
Why dont he REALLY want to meet me? I mean, if he keeps giving me the run around saying he sacred of meeting me I'm just going to move on. I hate to lose him as a friend but I want to see who’s this guy I have such a good connection with. I dont know what to do.
What to do guys think?

baby girl, it sounds like there is something wrong with him physically. the "why" question need to come up. ask him. point blank. even if the out come is not what you want to hear, you need to clear the air. part of being friends is being brutally honest with each other.

He has probably lied to you about his appearance, or age. So if you meet him, it'll all be over, because you'll realize that everything was based on a lie. He might be like 20 years older than you, or 300 pounds. You should be a little bit afraid of someone you've never actually met -- he could be dangerous.

some people are just good at communicating without seeing the person maybe this guy don't have enough confidence to show himself and maybe he thinks he is not good looking enough for you or some other physical handicapped that he don't like you to see, but anyway if you really like to see him in person then encourage him that you really don't care how he looks or whatever handicapped he got that no matter what you will be his friend.

Well, this could mean a lot of things.
1)He could be telling the truth
2)He could be ashamed of what he looks like and your judgment on him.
3)He could of saw a picture of you and does not like what he sees
4) He would like to keep you as an Internet friend
