I need for people in India to contact me on a regular basis for legal work. They do not want to make international phone calls. How can I, while based in the USA, get a local india phone number, calls to which I would be able to receive here in the USA?

you can go to www.bsnl.co.in
also www.mtnl.in for delhi and mumbai
there u click on directory search you also have option of search for states on map or list wise
map is more convinent.
then after selecting state u get that state map containing all district places.
just click required district and then enter few search parameters like exchange if u know or by default it will search all exchanges, name, surname, address, also u can enter old phone no,new phone no.
then u will get all results if any.
