Open ended questions, that will encourage them to give more than one word answers.

Such as: What sort of things do you like to do on the weekend?"

"Could you tell me a little bit about yourself?"

you can ask them more about the position you're applying for..that way you get to know some insights about the job and you will also make them realize that you are indeed interested with the job.

for instance, do a quick flashback on the questions they have asked you, find the ones that you think was left hanging. hanging questions are sure hit, perform a follow-up question to those. like, what are the particular scopes of the job. when he reiterates them one by one, cast a positive look, smile and nod a bit, like you are telling them by your gestures that you can perform those tasks easily. first impressions last.
