My grandson just finished the diaper stage, and I always loved Huggies. They do have a nighttime model, and I believe I did go up just one size. -- this was until he was almost 3, and never a leak. Love Huggies!
Oh, and make sure he is completely dry when you tuck him in. You may have to change him once in the middle of the night, would help too.
Thank God the baby is healthy. Have a wonderful experience with your little one.

I had the same problem with Huggies but only at night. I found and this may sound weird but if you make sure your son;s winkie is pointing down at night the pee will go into the bluky part of the diaper. I also switched to Parents Choice which are cheaper and thinner( got them as a gift which is why I tried them) and even though you would think they would leak they haven't! And my son sleeps about 9 to 10 hours a night! And no mom is going to wake there sleeping baby up to change a diaper! LOL! Hope this helps!

When my children were younger we had the same problem of the diaper leaking at night. We decided to use the night time diaper. We would do this right before we put the children to bed. After that there were no more leaks. If that does not work you might want to try a different brand of diapers. I am most confident that the night time diapers will work though.

I think every parent has a problem like this from time to time. Try different size diapers, or try a different brand. Honestly, Huggies always leaked so I tried Pampers, which work fine, but if you want to save some money switch to Luvs. They are basically the exact same as Pampers, but about $4 cheaper and they work great. Also, until you find something that works, you should get a mattress protector, they work great!

I have 7 month old twin girls that wear the Huggies size 3 that have had this problem as well. I bought these things called "diaper doubles" at Babies R Us. It is a little pad that goes in the diaper at night and is great. We have had no leaks or anything. A package was like 7.99 and it has saved me from changing the crib sheets!! Hope this helps, it has been a total time saver for us.

I agree with many of the answers here that usually when your baby's diaper starts leaking at night you need to move up a size. Our son has been in size 6 diapers since we could almost cross the tabs over each other to close them. Lol! But, like many others, we tried about every brand on the market and found Pamper's Cruiser's to be the best. We almost never have leaks with those. :-) Good luck!

When my boy was that age, I just went up a size. At 16 mo he started leaking through every night for a week, found Huggies Overnites and they're wonderful! We've been using them a little over a month now. He's in a size 4 regular diaper and the Overnites are size 4, also. They have extra padding in them to make them much more absorbent.

In my opinion, all diapers are the same. It doesn't matter how well they advertise on TV or Ads. You just have to change it more often. The best way to prevent a night-time leaking is to change his diaper before you put him to sleep. On the other hand, you definitely can go up a size, but you have to make sure that you tighten the diaper at his waist so that it doesn't fall off at night and result in another type of "night-time" leaking. Good luck!

My experience with my 1 year old is that whenever his diaper leaks at night for a few days, it is time to move onto another size. The problem always stop until it is time to change again.
I don't think there is a need to buy night time diaper for a 6 month yet. They are a little expensive than regular one. Just change to the next size, at least at night.

I had the same problem. The pee would leak out the sides of the diaper or down the back. I invented a design of diaper to stop this, and I sent it in to the diaper company but they ignored it.
The only solution is to try different types of diaper, try a larger one or a different brand or both. I was never completely able to fix this problem with the diapers currently on the market, so I washed sheets a lot...I'm sure you know you can't put plastic or anything in a crib, but just a reminder
