maybe you should try writing on the topic on 3rd world countries and how they are viewed by Americans.
you can discuss how America has gone from a country that was founded by immigrant to a country that now restricts immigration.
or how America has been funding millions of charities for 32rd world countries but nothing seems to change and you can add in what you think needs to be done in order to change this.

How about: Dirty words in general?
"“Dirty Words” – how does a word become dirty in the first place.
"Dirty Words" - censorship on TV. Why are they censored when they are just a word?
"Bitc#" - it's a dirty word but, it's also referred to a dog. Even Yahoo cencors out the word and replaces it with all stars...

How about the G word, pertaining to God? They don't want it in the schools, courtrooms, ect..... One Nation under GOD? Are we really one nation under God anymore? OR the A word... Alien... That is being used quite often now. Weren't we all aliens at one time or another? My family came from Germany.

Try writing about what it means to be "politically correct." It is amazing how easy it is to be politically incorrect.... in fact it is downright hard not to be! You could talk about how sensitive an issue this has become... Hope that helps...
