Bang for the buck...I would recommend Ibanez..the GSR200 is about $199.

I thought that I'd pick one up just to tide me over until I got something more expensive, but a year later, I still play and love the Ibanez. It has both P and J pickups, in an active configuration.

You can't go wrong with Fender either, Jazz or P basses, but the price does jump up...you pay for the name.

I play the GSR200 through a Line6 LowDown amp, and it sounds incredible every time.

My next purchase will be the Fender Geddy Lee Jazz...but that is awhile off yet.

It somewhat depends on the style of music your going to be playing. Fender though is a brand that you will see in many styles.

You can get a good strong bass guitar for 400 to 600 dollars on up to what ever you are willing to spend. You may be able to find a good Fender or Ibanez for a couple hundred used. Check ebay or craigslist.

I've been playing bass for about 20 years with various local bands.

The charger has some cutting-edge "leak" at the same time as its plugged in. ideally, there will be no cutting-edge draw with out the cellular telephone connected, yet as a pragmatic remember there is a few waste probable no longer some thing to be enthusiastic about. All present day TVs use cutting-edge interior the off mode to keep waiting for instantaneous-on. also, they opt to apply some capacity so it may receive the "ON" command from the distant. This does use some capacity, yet are you extremely going to unplug the television whenever you aren't any more watching. The guitar amp would no longer use any because the capacity change usually cuts the capacity off thoroughly as even with the reality that you unplugged it. they'd decision.

Rickenbacher is the first that comes to mind. And honey, not being mean, it's BASS guitar, not base. Good luck and have fun. Playin bass is a blast! Also, in my younger days, I ALWAYS fell for the bass player! Actually in my older days I still do, they just don't fall back!
Peace,
Laurie

Never heard of a "base" guitar. But if you're talking about a "bass" guitar, you can't go wrong with a Fender P-Bass. You can pick one up for around five hundred.
