I have 6 starting pitchers on my fantasy baseball staff:

Johan Santana
Carlos Zambrano
Jason Schmidt
Rich Harden
Barry Zito
Brad Penny

I'm considering dropping only Brad Penny. Would it be worth it to drop him for a sleeper like:

Chuck James
Dave Bush
Clay Hensley
Jeremy Sowers

??????

Any ideas who I should pickup if Penny plays bad?

yes i would get rid of penny for chuck james most likely who has posted an era of under 1 in spring trainign so far after like 5 starts ....or even adam wainswright who in spring training has an era of .93 after 5 starts as well you could go either way and they both will do just fine for you.....let me tell you that you have a staff full of aces on your rotation all of those pitchers are worthy of striking out 200 cept for penny and maybe zito if all are healthy you will ownt the pitching line every time

hope i helped and goodluck bro

DONT DROP ANY OF THEM. Those are all BIG TIME pitchers out there. Im not saying to hold on to them either, but for christ sake make a trade, dont just lose the value those guys have. That would be a bonehead move because then you would be dropping a sure thing (or as sure as they get) for a sleeper pick who is just that, an unproven sleeper. Trade....dont Drop...unless your in MY league

Brad Penny has some good potential, but Dave Bush is the FAR more valuable choice, and the only one in my estimation that it would be worth dropping Penny for.

You can try to swing a trade for Penny, but his value is not all that high, so dropping him outright is perfectly fine if you can't find a suitable trading partner.
