Definitely Edinburgh, Liverpool or Glasgow ...

all three are absolutely buzzing cities at nighttime, nice to walk around during the day, good restaurants

Edinburgh!

Has loads of pubs and clubs and good restaurants. During the day there are so many galleries, museums and the castle, but also you have Princes Street for shopping and the botantic gardens and loads of outdoors stuff. There's also Leith with high end restaurants, and a beach! There are loads of (really good) ghost tours in the evening too. Edinburgh has three university's so really does cater for the young person to have fun.

Edinburgh also comes with a small mountain in the middle of it if you feel like climbing it (30mins, not that tough) and you can see the whole of the city and beyond from the top.

Edinburgh has a great airport - bus shuttles from there are £8 (i think) return and take you into the city center, stopping at all the hotels along the way. Also has two major train stations and fantastic buses that go everywhere.

There are loads of good quality cheap hotels and B&Bs, a very central travellodge and a Novotel.

Hehe, hope I've sold Edinburgh to you!!

A group of us went to Butlins for a 70's weekend - adults only.
Lots of people there - lots of dressing up and acts from the 70's performing.
They do all kinds of different themed weekends - would reommend Gold accomodation if you go for it though - silver is very very basic. - also go self catering unless you really miss school dinners.
It's not something I would do again but it was fun especially if there is a group of you.

The Lake District is great in the summer, me and my girlfriend went last year. Good place to get a pint and sit in the sun. I'm 20 by the way. Best of all its pretty cheap too.

Dependant on how intrepid you are, you could always pop a tent in a rucksack and go camping away from it all in the Brecon Beacons ... sit around an open fire in the evening.

This will cost you nothing bar the cost of getting there.
