Absolutley!!!! this is one of the side effects of the Depo shot and even if she stops treatment it can continue for 3mnths. until the hormone is completley out of her body.. I wouldn't recommend a treatment so permanent for this very reason, it doesn't always agree with every women and it doesn't leave the body so quickly. I would advise your friend to make sure she is eating lots of fruit and dark green leafy veggies to replenish her body from the blood loss, and as gross as it sounds animal organs such as liver is very good for the blood, just until she is back to her normal flow. and of course talk to her doctor about the bleeding and possibly trying another form of BC

Depo what? Depo-Medrol shouldn't do something like that. Depo-Provera often does, especially in women who were anovulatory to begin with. Please be a bit more precise with your question, and avoid abbreviation to the point of nonsense.
