been playing hearts on yahoo for over 20 games, yet still have a provisional ranking, though my score is higher than most in the "beginner" card room. I've been playing hearts since I was a kid, but can't get a decent game cause nobody wants to play with a "provisional"
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
You have to play 20 RATED games to advance to show a rating. So don't play in the social lounges unless you are sure they are rated before you sit and start a game. After that you will fall into higher ranks (colors) at 50 point breaks. So, play well so you will start out at a pretty good rating. I really think it is so you have it down pat to start playing with higher rated players? This link has all the rating systems for various Yahoo! Games.

You have played more than 20 games? I play Sheepshead. A 'game' is defined (at least in Yahoo Sheepshead) 10 hands. Yet you have played 200 hands (thus 20 games) of hearts and you still have 'provie' status?
