have have recently got vista home premium edition and a week later put in a new dual core motherboard it loaded up fine but when i put the drivers from the disc on there it sayed restart computer so i did and now it wont load anything and brings up a screen saying i have a file corrupted and ive tired reputting in my vista disk and it still doesnt work i need some help so someone please help me

Vista will lock if the mainboard has been replaced.
This is so that it won't be used on 2 or more PCs with 1 license.
You need to erase the hard drive & re-install Vista ... then call Microsoft for re-activation.

well i think there may be a hacking virus in which the hacker has used the corrupted file to get into your computer. but another thing is that you shouldn't have gotten vista right now. since it has just released you cant trust it totally. there are many problems in this OS that the programmers still need to fix. when XP released it had many problems in the start too.

One license per one computer!
Hardware changes will do this. Vista might think its another computer.
