does anyone know how to download a movie trailer from yahoo movies
ive tried lots of things but cant get it to work
even the firefox addon that usually works does not
the videos play in adobe flash player

For this is not so simple. Mostof the streming videos will have a webpage and the source of the stream is hidden inside the code of web-page. First thing is to get the source of that stream. Once you have got that put this source into your stream capture program and it will stream the whole data and make a video for you.

2. Use Firefox' extension of "videoDownloader"
If you have fireox you download this extension and it will appear as a video and sik icon in bottom right of your browser window.
Once you are on the video page click on it and it will give you the button either for direct download or for the stream.
Download from this address (url) and if the file appears to be too small it means that video has not been downloaded properly either because url was wrong or it maynot allow direct access to video

3. Use a screen capture program.
There are many video capture programs that can capture part of your screen and most of them are used to make help videos for copmuter programs.
All you need to do is download one and select the area of video appearing on your screen then start capture.
