Sadly, no there isn't, Xenosaga has nothing to do with Xenogears. They are in totally different time lines. I was curious abot this question to so i looked it up on

Yeah, Xenogears is the all the Xeno Saga, the time line starts with Xenosaga and ends with Xenogears, there an illustration book explaining the story line, its Xenogears Perfect Works

There is no direct tie in, although they are supposed to be one in the same series.
Sadly however, there are no reoccuring characters from the Xenogears in Xenosaga, and the Xenosaga series will not be going far in enough in depth to remake Xenogears.
I was disappointed too...
