No it won't make them sick as long as she isn't making it with milk. Dairy given before 1 year can cause intestinal issues in babies who haven't developed a particular enzyme which aids in the breakdown/digestion of milk based products(pure milk not formula).

depending on the child it could be hard on their digestive system. It depends on how strong or developed it is. Some babies just never get full and eat and eat and eat from the mother so they supliment with a little bit of baby pablum. If it was sitting to heavy the child would spit it up. And if they were able to keep it down they would be really runny if it was bothering their tummy and a bit grumpy too. It just depends on the child. What works for one does not always work for another. Hope this answers your question. have a good day!

The problem will be in the young ones ability to digest it. Which means they won't be getting the nutrition that they need, it also depends on what the porridge is made from, cream of wheat is easier to digest, than other grains. Oatmeal is also an easily digestable meal. Other grains may not be so easy to digest

That is soooo wrong. Babies that young cannot digest infant cereal and all it does it stretch their stomachs out and/or give them digestive problems. It really makes me mad to hear about people giving tiny infants cereal so they will sleep longer. Getting up at night is part of being a parent & taking shortcuts that make it easier for you but possibly harmful to your child is just plain wrong. No pediatrician would tell you to give a 1 month old cereal.

yes, this is not good at all, the baby cannot really digest it and will more than likely upset his tummy it is not recommended for at least 4, sometimes 6 months but it depends on your friendship if you should say anything. It wont put the baby in real harm so if she would get mad at you and do it anyway then I wouldn't say anything

It sounds a bit early to be trying that. A 6 week old baby cannot digest it that well.

You really shouldn't give your baby anything except plain formula until about 6 months. If you give them stuff too early it can make them sick, cause it will be too hard on their small stomachs.
