I feel that it could be any to states. Consider the fact that certain states have certain resources as well as the fact that other states might get involved. The whole question comes down to a question of economics. The Key deciding factors would be, natural resources, military resources such as supplies for the national guard, man power (the amount of people available to use in the war), the amount of supplies that the civilians have available to use for military purposes (such as personal firearms, available cash, and food), as well as diplomatic relations with other states and foreign countries, as well as the amount of money in each states treasury.
If one state were to attempt to attack another state they would most likely attack suddenly such as the blitzkrieg used by Hitler during WWII. Some reasons for war are, self defense, acquisition of resources, and revenge.
I have no opinion because I have lived in lots of states and based on the above information I can't form a possible idea of which state would attack another state or even which state it would attack.

How about all of the states go to war with Washington DC? That is more likely to happen, than one state against another. However, me personally would like California to go to war with Pennsylvania, just because the people I know from there are some sick puppies!

such a thing would never happen. US vows not to fight a war on its soil which i think it is maintaining quite successfully. the government is busy in destroying other countries, it won't find time to start a fight at home.
you see it is very easy to kill those who are of no advantage to you, why would the Americans fight amongst theselves when they've got people in abundance around the world to feast on.
