When I hear "undisputed" facts, I question them. Anything the news media puts out will have a political slant to it. Instead of sitting around like brainless blobs, soaking up the nonsense the news media dishes out, why not be proactive, and search for answers. Write direct to reps and senators to get information. Actually read the constitution. Political news shows are really just entertainment ventures to soak up money from advertisers and the buying public.

The major difference is on story selection. Example, FOX has covered the story of muslim cab drivers in Minneapolis who refuse to take passengers who have alcohol in their luggage or a dog, main stream media has not. On CNN, CBS ABC NBC et al the experts interviewed by the anchor will tend to be liberal with an agenda that is never exposed to the viewer. FOX will have a Conservative expert more often. Language is also an important difference. When the NY Times exposed the Bush administrations use of data mining on overseas phone calls coming into the US, CNN and company reported this as domestic spying, FOX as foreign intelligence gathering. The differences are real and very important.

for one the post above me is correct , oreilly's show is all about the "culture war" going on right now so the show is basically his opinions , he is not a reporter , the show is desighned for entertainment and to save children from predators
there is a huge difference between cnn and fox news .
cnn is far left , they will report everything on a liberal slant , they are also geard toward the world not just america
fox news is for america , they report everything cnn reports then they report everything they didn't , viewers watching fox news see both sides and make their own decision . Liberals just think it is bias because they are reporting not only things liberals want to hear , but also conservatives .
also , people ( mainly liberals ) get confused on the difference of a reporter and a tv show . Shepard Smith is a reporter , Oreilly is a tv show . The problem with cnn is that their reporters slant to the left

I am a conservative Republican and I NEVER watch the news on TV. No Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, whatever. I scan the internet and read newspapers, weigh the integrity of the story by who printed it and look for all sides.

People will gravitate toward the stations that speak to them and their beliefs. The more radical, the better. It has nothing to do with news, of course. Just alot of political commentary...

Your correct. RealClearPolitics gives the reader a look at both sides of all the major issues. An intelligent person studies an issue and decides his/her own position and doesn't depend on a screaming talk show host to tell him or her how to think.

O'Reilly is a news analyst. He doesn't report the news. He reports how the reporters reported the news.

I'm curious as to what you believe a "credible" news source is.
Hint: blogs aren't news.
