There are a few. There might be that your university knows about, or maybe through an organisation you can join like your church.

There are a few companies, like fastweb.com that have a database. It also depends on your subject and where you're studying. There are also books and sites about grants in different areas (for instance, ahrb has grants for studying humanities at postgraduate level in the UK)

So first thing to do is decide what you want to study and where, and anything interesting about yourself (filling out the form in fastweb can help you start thinking). The grants will be easier to find then.

Non-traditional is too broad a topic to start with. There are other terms like mature students, or minorities, or the re-entering the workforce, or leaving the military or prison, or a political activist, or a movie star, or an immigrant, or someone who just left a convent, or a grandmother who's been a housewife all her life... it all depends on who you are.

Not sure what you mean by non traditional grants, however you might do a search for Pell Grants if your looking for something that as long as you make a passing grade you do not need to pay back.

I asked that very same question and the respond I have been given exchange into: you prefer the motor vehicle to get to college and that is not any longer;t such as you're buying a Rolls Royce. although, I lived over fifty miles and commuted. I had to have a motor vehicle. So, you will probable be risk-free as long there is not any decision transport like buses or walking. And its no longer something fancy.
