Let's just look at it this way. The Democrats couldn't pass a bill with a timetable, because there aren't enough retarted ones that think that that is a good idea. Therefore they went around and said "what would it take to get you to vote for this?" and that's where you get pet projects and pork. That is what it costs to buy enough democratic politicians. About 25 billion.
Then when the money runs out and troops start dying because they can't buy stuff or fix equipment, congress can say that they tried to send them money but the evil Bush administration is out to kill soldiers. And the people of this country thought they were electing smart good people. .....

The pork is wrong, and both sides of the isle are guilty. These Omnibus bills are killing our country and should be eliminated all together.
However, The president is going to veto the bill because of the troop withdrawal deadlines, not because of pork.

The bill will not be vetoed because of the add-ons. It will be vetoed because they have set a timetable for the end of the war. They should not back down if it is vetoed, as the American people no longer support an open-ended civil war in Iraq. I applaud the Senate and Congress for taking the action. It is what they were elected to do.

$25B add-on that the media will not even address, is to ensure the President Bush will veto the bill... as to make the Dems look like they "attempted" to stop the war.

This is their underhanded way of getting control over the situation of the troops being in Iraq. Never mind the fact that this puts the soldiers in danger because of not having the money to buy supplies to protect themselves. I will never again vote democratic after this display of disreguard for the lives of our troops.

that isn't why it will be vetoed, and if this admin wants to lie to congress AGAIN, they will have to be investigated again..;which means Bush better hope he never let a bill go through in the last 6 years that had pork in it. ROTFLMAO!

Bush will veto the bill because he doesn't want to agree to a timetable for withdraw. The democrats approved funding for our troops, Bush wants to cut it off.
I suggest getting a better picture for your profile, fat boy.

Unlike the Republicans, huh?
Google "Bush" and "Drunken sailor" if you want a look at reckless spending with political motivations.
If Bush and his people can't work for America, they should all just resign. Get out of the way and bring in a leader.

Because they wanted the president to veto it. That way they can say that they tried to end the war. As you pointed out it's just political grandstanding.
