Life before Y!A was not as exciting. I would usually read a book.

I discovered Y!A by accident. I was in Yahoo! Help Central and could not get an answer to my question. It was suggested that I ask others in Yahoo!Answers. So I did.

My first ever question went unanswered. No one had an answer for the question. Now, however, with the new changes in Yahoo! My Yahoo! it will be easier to accomplish those things I was trying to achieve.

I discovered it when it was heavily promoted with extensive advertising on the London Underground, and my first question ... well actually I can't remember it off the top of my head. Before I discovered Answers, I used to entertain myself with endless games of Freecell whilst bored at work. This is far more productive.. kind of!

The 1st question I asked was "Has Michel Fournier completed his sky dive". That was 8 months ago!

Now, 134 questions and 4917 answers later - here I am! Can't imagine my life without Yahoo! Answers.

I stumbled upon this site when checking my email one day - there was a video advertisement, and I'd just spent the previous half hour searching for the answer to my question above with no joy. I decided to sign up, and thought that I'd answer a few questions while I was there! I never left!

I'm disabled and unable to work, so I have rather a lot of spare time. One thing that Answers has helped me with is giving up smoking - it gave me something to take my mind of my cravings. 4 months without smoking and my participation here at answers has continued growing.

Reserved, I was a Yahoo Games junkie. I played either Literati or Pyramids. Now, some days I don't even think about Literati-lol. My first question was about the band (OKGO) who does the treadmill video. My second was about Literati being broke and then I decided to try to answer a few. When you start getting those "best answer" e-mails the addiction is then full blown. I can't stop myself and I'm late for work - I have to go!! Have a good day thanks for the good question.-k-

My first question: Is glass solid or liquid?
I found YA while viewing an add on 360.
I must say that I didn't have so much fun on the Internet before YA. Also YA helped me make great friends from all over the world, and also I found out many new things while reading answering questions.

I got an email from Yahoo that invited me to check out Y/A back when it was new. My first question was "Is 2012 just another Y2K scare?" I got a whopping 4 answers........ LOL
before Y/A I went to chatrooms sometimes, and just basically surfed around following links, you can end up in the oddest places doing that. like looking up UFOs and ending up at dinosaur fossils, just by clicking a few "related" links...

My first question wasn't all that long ago...guess I'm a newbie ;-) I had heard of Y/A and wanted suggestions for a song for dance with my step dad at my wedding...I've been addicted ever since!

As far as entertainment on the comp, I played online spades and scrabble more often.

That is a great question! I distinctly remember my first question and it is the reason I came on this here in the first place. I was searching for an answer. I wanted to know if someone else could help me.
