When a man won't commit because he is happy with the status quo is it best to just break it off if you want more. Will breaking it off just end things? Or will breaking it off make a man reluctant to commit realize what he is losing and come around. I am afraid to break up b/c I may lose him forever but feel our relationship may fall apart and become stagnant if I don't shake things up.

You've adapted the attitude that "anything is better than nothing". Are you willing to settle for that? No? Then you need to move on. Find a man that IS willing to commit!

Leave. what are you gaining by staying in a realtionship where someone can't commit. Here is a question you should think about. What is it about him that makes you so attached to him? Is his penis made of Platinum? I hate when I see people so attached to someone that they accept anything just for the sake of being with someone. It's ok to be alone. Take time to figure out who you are. Then your next relationship you won't make the same mistakes of trying to make someone commit.

Give him an ultimatuim. Tell him that he either commits to this relationship or you are leaving. I know it is hard to say something like that if you are in love with him but it could make him realize that he could really loose you and change his mind about marriage. But if he doesn't realize it and just goes on with his life then you are better off to find someone who wants to marry you no matter what. It's his loss or his win. It's up to him.

Uhm, I suppose you think that marriage equates to commitment when really, commitment equates to commitment and marriage? It's just symbolic or attempts to be. If you can't get commitment, don't bother trying to get married.

Ask yourself why do you even want to get married? If you think marriage is something that you must have in your life with or with out this man, do both of you a favor and stop wasting your time.

It really depends on how long you've been together. He should know your expectations for the relationship and you should know his. Don't shake things up just to add drama. Just communicate openly about what you want.

You are justified to want commitment. If he can't provide that, find someone who can.

Depends what you want. If you want a commitment and he won't commit then leave. If you love him and don't want to lose him than stay and be happy with what you have.

Breaking up with your boyfriend can make you lose him forever, or it also can shake things up and make him want to commit.. You cannot control what he will do, you can only control what you are willing to do to get what is important to you. If a commitment from your boyfriend is important then you should be willing to run the risk of losing him. If not, your only other choice is to stay and just be FWB. The choice is yours. Best of luck to you!

I suggest telling him how you feel. Try to word it in a way that he will understand just how important it is to you but make sure you are not coming across as you are trying to push him into some thing he totally is not ready for. Once you have the talk with him you will be able to make your mind up. If he gets very angry about it he probably is not going to want to move forward any time soon. you need to do what makes you happy. good luck

Don't play games - don't break things off just to shake things up. Be honest - figure out what it is that you want then tell him - if he's not able to give you what you need then find someone who is.

If a man says He does not want to make a commitment, you cant force him to and the more pressure you put on him the more you are going to push him away... If he says he does not want to commit just be his friend and move on to someone new! Good Luck!!!!!!
