My processor began to smoke, after a minute it stopped, there is no video output, I tested the monitor with my laptop, it was fine? What happened?

your mother board and the processor does not sync together. I pray that your processor is not short circuited and is fine.

They are not for the most part interchangable. Motherboards have a list of processors they can accept. My guess you chose poorly.

your processor shorted out some how. I would recommend you replace the power supply and motherboard. This would fix the problem. go here for a cheap replacement ----->

You burned up the processor and motherboard. probably inserted wrong pins.
