No, I usually plan to watch at least two or three times a day. A person needs to stay current on local and nation and international events.

The news is sad much of the time . I watch it more times then I should in a day mostly to catch every bit of the local news. Houston, Tx. is a large city and I have plenty of reason to want to know what is going on. I want to watch Nat. News at least once each day to keep up with our precious military people any place in danger. Seems no place is safe anymore. Please remember to pray for those in the Military~~~~~Jill

The news is very depressing, but you know what you have to turn the bad into the good. The news is just an informer we can't blame them we have to blame the people. The newspaper is just as bad. And the people around you can be depressing as well when they have bad news.

Yes I avoid watching the news only because it is too boring. Same stuff everyday, war, politics, car crash. Watch the week in review for hour on Sunday and you are pretty much on top of what is going on.

All the time! I couldn't tell you the last time I actually watched any type of news show! I just read it online. I can't believe how depressing it is. All they seem to show are the bad things!

Yep. The news is the same thing everyday. Some one help up a convenient store, some one got robbed, another 17 troops were killed in Iraq.... It feels like I'm watching re-runs.

Don't watch or read news, don't even keep up with it online. The news I get is either from here or the back of someone else's news paper while they're reading it.
All of it is either depressing or false.

I watch BBC news now because they are more upfront about whats happening in the world, and they also report on more than death and distruction.
I used for watch MSNBC and CNN until they started only reporting on war and Anna Nicole Smith
