sort of..

it's just midweek, you have two more days to wait. just be positive about it. if they fail to call you on friday, do a follow-up call on monday. inform them that you are doing a follow-up for your job application.

just don't expect too much though, some companies practice on not calling the applicant if he/she didn't get the job. but this is a rare case. it still pays to have a positive attitude and doing follow-ups to show your interest on the job opportunity.

good luck!

Did you send your thank you note right after the interview?
If today is the 3er day after your interview; it will be a good idea to call. You need to show them that you are interested in the position, that you are the best candidate, that you follow up on your to do list. If you do not get the job for any reason send them a note to let them know that you are sorry for the outcome but you like the company (if that is the case) and if another opportunity will open to call you.

I would wait until Friday to take any action. If you have not heard from them by noon on Friday, call and say you are just "following up on the position you applied for". That way you have given them the whole week to reply.

TO ease your mind, send a follow up thank you note/email. thanking the company for their time and attention. reiterate your interest and job skills. this way if they are weighing you out with osmeone else you make yourself stand out a little bit extra. If you dont hear anythign by Monday, of next week than chances are they hired someone else. usually companies take a week to make a decison, do background screening, checking references, etc. after a week you are usually passed up. good luck!

Of course there are all kinds of companies who say they are going to call but never do.

If Friday comes and goes, call the company.
Inquire politely about the position.
Then maybe they'll subtly know that it was rude to leave you hanging.
You'll also know whether or not the position was filled

call them today. some places want a person who is willing to take action and to take matters into their own hands. call them and show assertiveness.
