Is it possible to light your hands on fire by dosing it in lotion? I read it somewhere that this person had a crazy roommate and lit his hands on fire by putting his hands in lotion then setting them on fire. He was not harmed. Is it true? If so, does it hurt? I want to know because I also want to light my hands on fire XD btw...he used liquid lotion (what's the dif?)

I need concrete proof, even if it includes lighting your OWN hands on fire with liquid lotion XP

this question isnt clear, so let me rephrase it:

Is it possible to light your hands on fire, without any pain or damage? If so, with what? And how long will the flame last?

No more stupid answers about burning myself alive. I've already given those people thumbs-down.'

Answer these questions and I will rate you best answer. I WANT TO LIGHT MY HANDS ON FIRE FOR 10 SECONDS!! or for a substantial period of time XD

If the lotion contains an accelerant (like alcohol) you could set your hands on fire just after applying it. The lotion would burn, but most likely the skin would not once the flames used up all the fuel (lotion). I had a friend do this with hair spray. She was doing that thing from "St. Elmo's Fire" with a spray can and when she stopped spraying her hand was on fire. She had gotten some of the hair spray on her hand. Once the spray burned off (in seconds) she was fine. Her hand didn't have any marks from it at all. However, I wouldn't try this experiment just in case you set something on fire that you shouldn't, like your house, clothes, backyard, etc.

Well, one of MY friends was told by some prankster that if you put poison ivy leaves between two slices of white bread and ate it, you'd be immune to poison ivy from then on. He wasn't stupid enough to eat a poison-ivy sandwich (nor should anyone be), and you shouldn't pour an accelerant over your hand and light it on fire.

No, I have never heard of that.. I have only heard of spraying deodorant on your hands and lighting it quick, it doesn't hurt. I've actually seen it, a girl I know tried it and it didn't hurt her. The fire only lasted for a few seconds.

I wouldn't try lotion.

Why would you want to risk injuring yourself like that? Can you imagine how someone who has lost a hand in an accident would give anything to have it back, yet you are taking a totally unnecessary risk for no apparent reason. Take care of the gifts you have.

If there is a magic store in your city (magic as in show magicians, not the other type) you might check there to see how showbiz characters do it.

Yes, you can but it would be pretty crazy to do that. You migth want to think about it before you do it.
